Our Story

In the spring of 1984, Frederick A. Stermer founded Master Tool and Mold, Incorporated in York, PA. By May 1990, the company leased 5,000 square feet at our current Market Street location and introduced injection molding to better serve customers.

Years of growth led to the relocation of the tool room and subsequent expansion. To enhance services, Master Tool and Mold combined tooling and molding operations under one roof, leasing an additional 20,000 square feet. This included offices, tooling, molding, a 100K clean room, packaging, warehousing, and shipping facilities.

MTM continued its growth into the 2010's and in 2024, Master Tool and Mold was acquired by the Keller family, founders of medical device supplier, Susquehanna Micro Inc. in Hallam, PA.  MTM was subsequently rebranded as Susquehanna Plastic Injection Molding and we are proud to be owned and operated by a female veteran.
